Published in 2009 this beautiful book records the artists approach to working in series. The body of work centres around new explorations of the River Fal in Cornwall. The Fal estuary is a much loved subject matter for Draper, in this instance the artist constantly returned to a number of vantage points over several months. His imagery reacts to the differing atmospheric conditions that he witnessed thus working in series like for example the impressionists, this was an approach adopted by artists such as Monet and Pissaro. The publications 40 pages contain 28 full colour illustrations of Nocturnal works from varying sites in the small coastal town of Falmouth, as well as images made in response to other parts of the Cornish coastline including the Village of pendeen.
